We don’t have a strict uniform policy. You're welcome to train in whatever you're comfortable in, as long as it’s clean and safe for grappling. Most people wear a GI for GI classes and rash guards with shorts or spats for NO-GI, but there’s flexibility. Just make sure your gear doesn’t have zippers or anything that could cause injury.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling and ground fighting. It’s designed to allow a smaller, weaker person to defend themselves against a bigger, stronger opponent using leverage, technique, and submissions like joint locks and chokes.
BJJ is both practical for self-defence and incredibly rewarding as a sport. It’s often described as "human chess" because of the strategic and technical depth. Whether you're training for fitness, competition, or just to challenge yourself, BJJ offers a powerful way to grow both physically and mentally.
For memberships there is a few options listed here: https://mxpfitness.co.uk/memberships/
There is also day passes available. Please message us if you want to join as we have a silver option available for BJJ.
